About Us

The Pennington Firm provides representation to insurance companies (domestic and foreign), reinsurance brokers, related financing entities, agents, agencies and insurance trade associations.

The Insurance Regulatory Practice Group  represents clients before the Florida Department of Financial Services, the Office of Insurance Regulation, as well as other state insurance regulatory agencies, in insurer formation, acquisition, re-domestication, re-organization, market conduct examination, financial reporting, demutualization, form and rate approval, reinsurance cessation and retrocession, bid strategy, and Department rule and policymaking.

The insurance regulatory practice area works closely with the Pennington Firm’s governmental affairs practice area in order to effectively represent insurance clients in the ever-changing legislative arena.

The Pennington Firm also provides comprehensive legal representation to the insurance industry over a broad spectrum of areas, including insurance defense litigation in the fields of medical malpractice, products liability, automobile negligence, premises and commercial liability, and workers’ compensation. In addition, firm attorneys represent insurance clients regarding “bad faith,” coverage and anti-trust issues.
