Florida Senate Banking and Insurance Committee’s Interim Report on Trade Secrets Used in Hurricane Models.

Florida Senate Committee on Banking and Insurance: Report on the status of the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund

The Senate Banking & Insurance Committee will conduct an interim project on the regulation of debt relief services.  The committee will also conduct a mandatory open government sunset review of the public records exemptions of the Florida Self-Insurers Guaranty Association; the Board of Funeral, Cemetery, and Consumer Services.

The Senate Banking & Insurance Committee will also examine trade secrets used in hurricane models, hurricane loss and associated exposure used in the development of the public hurricane model.

The Banking & Insurance Committee staff will also complete an issue brief on insurance coverage of cancer drugs and monitor the implementation of legislation relating to mortgage brokering and lending; property insurance (HB 1495) and the title insurance study advisory council.

The Senate Health Regulation Committee staff will complete an issue brief on regulation and insurance coverage of clinical trials.
